We realize that if your patient is dissatisfied with his or her home health care provider, it
reflects poorly on you, the referring physician,
office, sleep lab, or facility. With that in mind,
the professionals at AST want you to know that
you can expect the following:
THE SETUP
Your patient will be set up in comfort of his/her own home at a time that is convenient for them, even evenings and weekends. Each therapist will spend a minimum of one hour with your patient to ensure a proper mask fit, and that the patient understands his/her equipment also all questions are answered, so that your patient is totally at ease with their CPAP therapy.
Your patient will be setup with the best
equipment available; with access to the
latest masks and interfaces properly
chosen to suit their particular need.
FOLLOW UP
An AST clinician will follow up on your patient at intervals of 48-72 hours, one week, one month and than at 3 and 6 months.
If the patient is having difficulty acclimating to the equipment after one week, we will gladly go back out for a follow up visit to assess and resolve
any problems that have arisen. Of course, there is no charge to the patient for this follow up visit.
COMMUNICATION
We believe that communication between the staff of AST and the physician is vital to the patients
compliance and therefore, the overall success with CPAP therapy. After every visit or phone call, we will fax the notes to you to keep the lines of
communication wide open.
